Spray deposition and laser annealing

The equipment is intended for the deposition in thin layers of formulations from the CEA-LIONS liquid screening platform. The equipment will consist of a suspension spray deposition device and a laser annealing device. This equipment is still being acquired and should arrive in the first quarter of 2024 (laser) and second quarter (spray). They will make it possible to test the functionality of the formulations developed at LIONS, particularly for properties such as color, luminescence, photo/electrocatalysis, etc.

The spray deposition device is currently being acquired and its precise technical characteristics have not yet been definitively established, but the device will allow deposition in a controlled atmosphere on plates of approximately 10 cm² of suspensions of particles in various solvents.

The laser annealing device was ordered in January 2024. The device has two laser sources of adjustable power. The first source is a CO2 laser (λ = 10.6 µm) with a maximum power of 60 W. The second source is a ytterbium laser (λ = 1064 nm) with a maximum power of 20 W. These two lasers are mounted on a mechanical arm allowing annealing to be carried out under different conditions on the same substrate.
