Optical multi-characterization platform for two-dimensional materials
Description
Based on a Raman and photoluminescence spectrometer with motorized stage (Horiba, Labram HR), we plan to install a second harmonic generation (SHG) acquisition module. This specific module will enable fine characterization of the symmetry properties of two-dimensional (2D) materials in order to differentiate certain polytypes or heterostructures, and generate spatial maps of the samples.
Location
Centre for Nanosciences and Nanotechnology (C2N), Palaiseau
Technical characteristics
- Photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy in the visible at room temperature
- Raman spectroscopy (325 nm, 532 nm, 633 nm lasers) at room temperature
- Second harmonic generation (SHG) characterization at room temperature
- Large-scale (several centimeters) mapping capability (Raman, PL, SHG)
- Dedicated vacuum and/or temperature characterization chamber (Linkam)
