Nanoparticles gas route FSP

The gas-based nanoparticle synthesis platform uses the Flame Spray Pyrolysis (FSP) process to obtain custom nanopowders straight from the reactor. Mainly dedicated to oxide phases for which almost all compositions can be obtained, this process also allows the synthesis of coated or core-shell particles, as well as the obtaining of certain non-oxide phases. The nanoparticles obtained are collected in the form of dry powders.

Platform manager / Coordinator of the associated targeted project: Yann LECONTE

Precursors: gases, liquids, solutions, suspensions of nano-objects (coating)

Size: typically 10 nm to several hundred nm

Possible morphologies: agglomerated primary particles, core-shell, large solid or hollow particles

The FSP device can be coupled to FastNano’s ANAPURNA reactor for the production of nanocomposite layers in a single step. Ultimately, the FSP will be equipped with an in situ LIBS analysis assisted by AI making it possible to know the composition of the growing nanoparticles in real time in order to accelerate the development of a given shade.
