High-throughput MOFs synthesis

This is a versatile synthesis robot allowing the implementation (handling of solids/liquids) of chemical reactions (at ambient pressure or under pressure) in parallel (40 max), as well as the treatment of the reactions (filtration, washing, solid recovery) and the preparation of plates for powder X-ray diffraction analysis.

IMAP UMR 8004 (CNRS-ENS-ESPCI) à l’ESPCI, 10 rue Vauquelin, 75005, Paris.

Platform manager: Georges MOUCHAHAM

Associated targeted project coordinator: Christian SERRE

Automated platform from the manufacturer CHEMSPEED (SWING REACTSCREEN)

– Automated arms for handling and weighing powders and solids (0.1mg – 20g)

-Automated arms for handling liquids (0.1 – 10 mL)

-Preparation with stirring.

-Synthesis at ambient pressure (RT – 150 °C), possible under controlled atmosphere and/or under/without stirring (20 * 24mL or 12 * 100mL).

-Synthesis under pressure (up to 200 °C and 70 bar), possible under controlled atmosphere and/or under/without stirring (130 x 90 x 70 mm3 / up to 96 reactions in parallel).

-Recovery and washing of solid products by filtration.

-Recovery of dried products for sample preparation for PXRD.
