Gas analyzer for exhausts gazes of the combustion calorimetry

To obtain the thermodynamic parameters of organometallic compounds, the ATHERM_COAT experimental platform will comprise a set of instruments, including a Knudsen effusion mass spectrometer and a combustion calorimeter. The combustion calorimeter coupled with a gas analyzer will enable the heat of combustion of a substance to be measured and chemical reactions to be studied. The gas analyzer (HORIBA PG-350 (EN 15267 standard)) is a portable measurement system consisting of a portable probe (PSP-4000H), a heated line, a gas sampling system (PSS-5H) and the PG-350EU gas analyzer. Cross-Flow Modulation technology – Advanced Efficiency for NDIR analysis in the PG-350 analyzer, Cross-Flow Modulation (CFM) is used for non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) absorption of SO2 and CO detectors. With the NDIR CFM method, the sample gas and reference gas flow through a single measuring cell, passing from one to the other. This method has the advantage of requiring no optical adjustment, keeping the zero point stable, reducing measurement range drift and keeping the sample cell clean.
